The Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC), in order to further local pandemic influenza preparedness efforts, placed high priority training exercises and development of continuity plans. Schools were identified as a priority to receive training and have Continuity of Operations Plan and Continuity of Education Plan in place.
Code Red Training Associates, Inc. was contracted by the Santa Clara County Public Health Department to design and write the "School Pandemic Toolkit," conduct the Pandemic Training Exercise and write the "School Pandemic After Action Report" for 33 school districts and over 500 private, public and faith based schools in Santa Clara County.
